Joy Saunders

As a self-taught contemporary artist, Saunders revels in the challenge of capturing the array of green and grey tones found in the lush Welsh countryside.

To compose her paintings, Saunders purposely restricts her palette to intuitively select and omit information from the scene, creating an unfussy acrylic painting that still manages to reflect the essence of the Welsh landscape and sky.
