Welsh artist Arwen Banning is excited when the light causes the water in Swansea Bay to appear white or an iridescent pale blue. Here she has painted it against the looming silhouette of Mumbles head. Painted from the promenade, the loose and expressive brush marks divide the water and sand into horizontal stripes of light and dark.
A limited edition giclee print is created using archival inks and paper and is hand-signed and numbered by the artist.
