A South Londoner by birth, Carole moved to her present home & workshop in the beautiful, mountain hamlet of Llanddeusant, Carmarthenshire in 1982.
Inspiration for her work is drawn from surrounding wildlife & landscape of this unspoiled part of the western end of the Brecon Beacons National Park. A nearby field that hosts an ever changing panorama of wild flowers provides source for her tableware. The local bird life inspires her figurative work, while the textures in the surrounding mountain escarpment are reflected in her raku & fumed work.
Carole has exhibited in galleries in Wales & the Glynn Vivian, Newport, Monmouth & Brecon museums. Further afield her earlier tableware design has been sold in Selfridges & Fortnum & Mason.
